Hello,

I am currently using Microsoft Dynamics Ax 4.0 and my computer is always connect to the internet. Somehow while I was doing something using axapta, it will pop up a message stating that the axapta need to be shut down whenever the internet lost connection. I heard it was an issue for SP1. SP2 will solve the problem. However, I already install SP2 but the problem still occur. Why is this so? How can I solve prevent this?

It is very bizarre to notice such behaviour   Could you provide the following info ASAP please -

1. Version of Ax wth SP
2. Version of SQL with SP
3. Operating system info for AOS / SQL Server
4. Any error messages in AOS / SQL Server (Event viewer)

Does this happen for all users?

This problem happened to axapta in my local system. I use it for testing and practice purposes even when I am offline. I am wondering why is this so. I think the problem might due to the installation of domain. The domain is using the server instead of my own local computer. That's why it is terminated when internet lost connection. Correct me if I am wrong since I am not good in technical.    

The axapta will return the warning below when internet lost connection: 

Warning: The server has terminated the session. The client will now close. 

The specification is as below:

1. Microsoft Dynamics Ax 4.0 SP2 Version 4.0.2501.116

2. Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Version 9.00.1399.00

3. Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition

Apparently this kind of issues are caused by the fact that remote procedure calls (RPC) from clients are not allowed by the Windows server to connect to RPC server.  Try to install this fix (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=1f6c047f-f082-4e6f-8885-387bef9c9d69&DisplayLang=en) or try to upgrade to Windows Server 2003 SP2.
